This class is designed for people who have prior experience using the EnergyPro software. During this class we explore advanced modeling techniques for compliance with the low-rise residential building envelope and mechanical system requirements in the 2016 Title 24 Standards. Participants in this workshop will be provided the opportunity to practice using the latest version of EnergyPro 8 to gain hands-on experience with the software. Aspects of new 2016 standards will be highlighted. Seminar Highlights: Learn the California HERS requirements for HVAC systems and how to properly model them Learn how to properly model advance envelope construction assemblies Understand the California HERS registration requirements for new construction and addition projects. Target Audience: Architects, Designers, Engineers, Energy Consultants and HERS Raters Learning Level: Advanced Attendees are required to bring a laptop with the EnergyPro 7 software installed. Please note that SDG&E® also hosts trainings for other Title 24 compliance software programs. Speaker: Martyn Dodd of EnergySoft in Novato, CA, is an industry expert in performance-based building analysis. He has written software programs used in California for Title 24 energy code compliance since 1985, including EnergyPro, COMPLY 24, and the California Energy Commission's Perform software. He is also one of the original authors of the 1992 Non-residential Alternative Calculation Method Manual, which defines the rules for code compliance software and has become the model for national and international code compliance software procedures.
