Introduction to PG&E’s WatterSaver Program

Description

WatterSaver is a thermal storage load-shifting program that optimizes the energy use and operation of electric water heaters, both electric resistance and heat pump water heaters. This class will talk about how customers and contractors can benefit from this program. It will explain how WatterSaver can help customers take advantage of their time of use rate by automatically heating water during times of the day when electricity is less expensive while having hot water ready when it is needed. Water heaters will be controlled by either using their native wifi capability or by adding a cellular module adaptor. Customers can earn a $50 enrollment incentive reward, plus $5/month of active participation.
