San Joaquin Valley Electrification Program Learnings & Findings

This lunch and learn presents an overview of the San Joaquin Valley (SJV) Disadvantaged Communities (DAC) electrification pilot program. In PG&E’s service territory, the SJV DAC Pilot was designed to replace propane and wood burning appliances with all-electric appliances for qualifying customers within the SJV DAC who do not have access to natural gas service. We’ll provide an overview of the program, cover the challenges and mitigation efforts in this electrification pilot as well as lessons learned from in-front-of-the-meter electrical service, project complexity, and the electrification of homes in disadvantaged communities.
